Dr. Riaan Terblanche

Project engineer at Kelvion Thermal Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Riaan completed his studies at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa where he obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.  His field of expertise lies in the thermo-fluid side of wet and dry cooling systems for industrial process cooling.  For the MinWaterCSP project, Riaan is responsible for the development of a novel hybrid cooling system that could ultimately provide supplementary cooling to air-cooled condenser systems, especially during high ambient temperature operation, typical in arid regions where concentrated solar power plants are normally installed.
